Any move in the direction of speedy adjudication of visa petitions is certainly welcome. On the one hand, USCIS would have 30 days to adjudicate the O-1 visa instead of the 14 days it is currently allowed (and which it currently ignores) — and, if the nonprofit’s O-1 is not timely adjudicated, USCIS would have to provide free expedited processing. Remember, this is just a proposal, but if the arts are important to you, call your senator and urge support of relief for arts nonprofits… but why stop there?
