Way to go, Secretary Napolitano! USCIS has designated Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Haitian nationals in the US on January 12, 2010, per her announcement of today. Unfortunately, this will not apply to anyone actually IN Haiti; any Haitian trying to enter the US will be sent back. Our thoughts and prayers remain with the victims of the earthquake, and with their families here in the US.
